This is another tune from our Backup Guitar Workshop at the Transatlantic Workshops in Elmstein in June 2018.
Although we played somewhat different runs, here are some other runs to crank up this wonderful piece, which was handed down to us by among others Bascom Lamar Lunsford (Brunswick Records 1928). Parts of the guitar backup are inspired by the incredible guitarist Riley Puckett (1894-1946) – e.g. the syncopations, and other parts (the trailout) by John Schwab‘s cracking backup for – I think – Sugar Hill.
